- On 10 July 1824, Wyatt Adkins was surety for the marriage of William Oakes and Sarah Fraley. On 13 Sep 1824, William Oakes was surety for the marriage of Wyatt Adkins and Phoebe Oakes. Given the ages of Phoebe and William Oakes, it appears that they are siblings. Consent for Phoebe's marriage was given by Catherine Oaks, widow of Daniel Oaks. From this evidence, I conclude that Daniel and Catherine Oakes were the parents of William and Phoebe Oakes.
