• Notes

  George Wood is identified as father of Susannah Wood in marriage record. After his death, His wife Mary and sons John and Thomas were granted administration of his large estate. It appears that the administrators were less than diligent in closing the estate, so Jesse Posey and his wife Susannah filed suit in Halifax County Court for division of the estate.
