Some assumptions may be made from this entry.....he had five sons...he bought the shoes and ribbon for his wife or daughter...he bought educational materials for his children...he lived in the part of Hanover that converted to Louisa.

Anyway, very interesting to have a peek at his selections.

    • Where are the daughters?

Is Jane Vardeman a daughter of William Bennett? There is strong circumstantial evidence of a family relationship. William Vardiman witnessed the will of Peter Bennett. He migrated to Wilkes Co. Georgia with Reuben and Micajah Bennett. They lived side by side along Kettle Creek. Reuben and Jane Vardiman owned property together. The Bennetts witnessed instruments executed by Jane Vardiman. Jane named her son William (after her father?) and her daughter Hannah (after her mother or step mother?). Also, I didn't mention in my previous correspondence that the Bennett name appears as a forename numerous times in the Vardiman line. There is no doubt in my mind that there were intermarriges between the Bennetts and Vardemans.
