Henry Foote Sr, born Stafford Co, VA, St Paul's Parish, this part of Stafford Co, VA later became King George Co, VA.
Marriage Bond Book 1 pg 3.
"Know all men by these present that we Henry Foote and Martin Picketare held and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Lord King George the Second in the sum of fifty pounds to the the payment whereof well and truly to be made to our said Lord the King, his heirs and successorswe bind ourselved, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 29th day of March 1760. The condition of the above obligatin is such that wereas there is a marriage suddenly intended between the above Henry Fotte and Margaret Colclough, Spinster. Now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said intended marriage the obligation to be void or else remain in force".

Land bought of William Balthrop, James Laughter and Absolem Lancaster to son William Foote. Land I now live on, bought of John Bradley, to son Henry Foote. I lend to my Wife Margaret Foote one girl Jimimi during her life. I give her the Sorrell horse, I had of George Allen,one mare called Fancy Pope and one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs. My will and desire is that the rest of my negros, Jack, Ned, Eley, Daniel and Lucy be equally divided among my children:Francis (daughter), Mary, Betty, Henry, Behethland, Katharine to them and their heirs forever, to be Divided as the Children comes of age or are married, the negro girl, Jimima and her increase to be divided among these children after wife Margaret Foote's decease, the rest and residue of my Estate/ Except provisions/ to be sold to the highest bidder, giving twelve months credit and the money after paying all my just debts to be Equally divided between my childen, my desire is that my wife Margaret Foote have the use of the land and negroes til divided as before mentioned for benefit of raising and schooling the children.
