There is little information aboout John Price. He married a daughter of John Wall, who later married John Rowen. In his will dated 1 May 1662, John Rowen bequests to John and Daniel Price, orphans of John Price, and requests that his brother “shall have the bringing up of the two sonnes of the deceased John Price and the managing of there estates..” Henrico Co. Miscellaneous Court Records, 1677-1692, pp. 15-16. The fact that the sons of John Price sold the 1677 acres patented by Matthew Price indicates that John Price was the brother of Matthew Price. When Matthew Price died without issue, John Price inherited the land as the heir of Matthew Price. is sons subsequently inherited theland and sold it to William Hatcher. John Frederick Dorman, Adventurers of Purse and Person, 1607-1624/25, Vol. 3, p. 829 (Baltimore, 2007).
