Circa 1796. David married Prudence (last name unknown), probably in Caswell County, North Carolina.
14 Feb 1797 : Conrad Strader of Caswell Co., NC to Peter Asheleegh and Michael Dayvalt of western territory (Sullivan County, Tennessee) for 60 pds., 288 acres in Caswell Co., on south side of Hogan's Creek, land granted to Strader by Andrew Ferguson whereon Henry Strader lately lived adjoining Peter Smith and William Grayham. Witness - Joel Stubblefield, David Strader, and Peter Lewis. Caswell Co. Deed Book K, p. 118 (Kendall, p. 180).
17 Sep 1803 : Conrad Strader of Caswell Co., to David Strader of Caswell Co., for "fatherly love to his son" and for 100 pds., 304 acres on Hogan's Creek where they both live adjoining Wyatt Stubblefield. Witness - Farlow Davis, Joel Stubblefield, and James Grant, Jr. Caswell Co. Deed Book N, pp. 249-250 (Kendall, p. 253).
10 Feb. 1807. Lewis Strader sold 195 1/2 acres of land on Hogan’s Creek adjacent Peter Strader and David Strader to Elijah Withers for $586. 50, which is land conveyed by Conrad Strader. Caswell Co. Deed Book P, p. 41-42 (Kendall, p. 277).
24 Oct 1807 : Conrad Strader to Elijah Withers of Rockingham Co., NC for 70 pds., (?) acres of land adjoining Withers, Powell, Wyatt Stubblefield, and David Strader. Witness - R. W. Stubblefield, John Hudnall, and James Gatewood. Caswell Co. Deed Book P, pp. 102-103 (Kendall, p. 280).

21 May 1816. Wyatt Stubblefiled sold 200 acres on Reedy Fork of Hogan’s Creek adjacent old Challis Road, James Powell, Elijah Withers, and David Strader to his daugher Nancy Stubblefiel. Matthew Mills and Peter Stubblefield witnessed the deed. Caswell Co. Deed Book R, p. 417 (Kendall, p. 363).
1820. David Strader is recorded in the 1820 census in Caswell Co. His household includes 1 male 10-16, 1 male 16-18, 2 males 16-26, 1 male 26-45, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-16, and 2 ffemales over 45. 1820 Caswell Co. North Carolina Census, Roll M33_81, p. 86.
22 Oct. 1824. David Strader sold 337 acres on Hogan’s Creek adjacent Matthew Mills to Elijah Withers for $1685. Richard Subblefiled, Mary Porter, Elijah Withers Jr., and Peter Stubblefield witnessed the deed. Caswell Co. Deed Book W, p. 89-90 (kendall, p. 100).

25 Apr. 1825. David Strader purchased 120 1/2 acres on Hogan’s Creek adjacent Josiah Womack and Garland Blackwell from from Lewis D. V. Schweintz of Bethlehem, Northampton, PA for $255. Caswell Co. Deed Book W, p. 177-178 (Kendall, p. 105).
Jan. Court 1826. David Strader purchased property from estate of David Lawson. Caswell Co. Will Book K, p. 130 (Kendall, p. 76).
21 June 1826. David Strader made a will in Caswell co. naming his wife Prudence and sons Henry, Lewis, John, and William C., and daughters Mahalah French and Zepherah Strader. Josiah Womack, Joseph K. Cobb, and Benjmain Elmore were named as executors. J. Womack, Jos. K. Cobb, Garland Blackwell, Benja. Elmore, and S.C. Cobb witnessed the will. April Court 1828. Sales of estate of David Strader made 2 August 1827 presented by Matthew Mills as administrator. Sles were made to Prudence Strader, Edward Bucey, John Bethel, John Cobb, Edward Jones, Thomas Bastin, Matthew Wills, Joseph Cobb, Lewis Strader, William Lewis Benjmain Covington, James French, Christian Strader, Joshua Butler, Marshell Blackwell, Eljah Dawson, and James Rawley.
