6 Jan. 1789. James Huie of Orange Co. sold 100 acres of land on Hogan’s Creek adjacent John Scott to John Lenox, Sen. The land was part of tract transferred to Huie by Jessse Benton on Ridge Path on Caswell Co. and Rockingham Co. lines. Caswell Co. Deed Book H, p. 165-66 (Kendall, p. 142).

10 Apr. 1789. Hannah Miles, widow, sold Robert Smith 60 acres of land on both sides of Rattlesnake Creek for 9 barrels of corn yearly for as long as she lives. Land was part of tract granted Hannah Miles by the State on 12 April 1780 adjacent Jacob Miles Sen., Joseph Tolbert, Samuel Henderson. Witnessed by Jab. Miles Jun. & John Scott. Caswell Co. 30 April 1792. John Humphreys of Rockingham Co. sold 200 acres on Hogan’s Creek adjacent John Lesour Sen. and John Scott to Thomas T. Humphries for 100 pounds. Caswell Co. Deed Book J, p. 89-90 (Kendall, p. 161).
21 Jan. 1795. John Scott made will naming wife Mary, daughters Jane Bell and Polly Strader, son-in-law John Wall, son James Scott, Martha Johnson, son Joseph Scott. John Scott named his son Joseph executor. Will Bethel and Richard Bethell witnessed the will. Caswell Co. Will Book C, p. 318 (Kendall, p. 60).
