Moultrie [Gov. of SC] on 6 Mar1786 recorded in Grant Book HHHH. Signed George (g mark) Goodwin, Mary (x) Goodwin. Wit: Thomas Bennett and Crafford Goodwin. Witness oath of 'Thomas Bennett' on 4 Feb 1791 before Wm. Hall JP (However the clerk wrote the signature as 'William Bennett' and not Thomas Bennett). Recorded 6 August 1798.

WILL OF CHARLES BENNETT
Dated 17 Oct. 1840.
State of South Carolina, Anderson District. In the name of God Amen. I Charles Bennett Senr of the State and district aforesaid being of Sound and disposing mind and memory, but weak in body and calling to mind the uncertainty of life, and being desirous to dispose of all Such worldly estate as it; hate pleased God to blefs me with, do make and ordain this my last will. in manner following. That is to Say--
1st That all my Just debts be paid.
2nd I bequeath, to my beloved nephew Charles M. Bennett, Son of my beloved Brother Thomas Bennett, one negro boy, named Wade. One negro woman named Dolly. Two tracts of land on which I now live, cntaing Two hundred acres more or lefs, together with all my Stock of horses, cows, hogs and Sheep, house hold & kitchen furniture, farming utencils wagon & all my property of whatever kind not before mentioned.
3ly and lastly, I so appoint and constitute my Sd Nephew Charles M Bennett, executor of this my last will and testament by me this day made. Intestimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed by Seal. This the Seventeenth day of October. Anno domini Eighteen hundred and forty, and in the independence of the united States of America the Sixty fifty year. Signed Sealed in presents of us.
