    • William Harrison was commissioned Lieutenant in the North Carolina’s 7th Regiment on 9 Dec. 1776 and served until February 1778 in a company commenaded by Captian John Macon. Col. James Hogun commanded the 7th NC Regiment. Pension Record of William Harrison (W. 463). William fought in the battles of Brandywine and Germantown. Id.

      In 1809 he was living in Franklin Co., North Carolina. Id. He applied for a pension in the District of West Tennesee on 15 May 1820.

      According to his pension record, he married Elvira Cooper on 14 Feb. 1786 at the home of Kannon Cooper in Warren County, NC. Id. The relationship of Kannon Cooper is not stated but is likely the father of Ellvira Cooper. A marriage bond dated 3 Jan 1786 was issued in Granville Co. to William Cooper to marry Elvria Cooper. Bute Co. was divided in 1779 to form Warren and Franklin counties on the east side of Granvile Couny.

      Elvira Harrsion was allowed pension on her application dated 11 May, 1841 while living in Bedford Co. Pension Record of William Harrison (W. 463). She stated that she was then 75 years of age. Id. In 1848 she stated that she was about 78 years of age and in 1849 she stated that she was about 81 years of age. Id. Elivra Harrison died 31 Jan. 1851 in Bedford Co., TN. Id.

      In 1849, Elvira Harrison was living with William G. Hight, grandson of William Harrison and Elvira Cooper. Id. William Hight was about 24 years old in 1841. Elivira Harrison died on 31 Mar. 1851 in Bedford Co., TN. On 6 March 1851, William Hight, as administrator of the estate of Elivira Harrison, applied to the Court in Davidson Co. for an increase in the pension due Elivira Harrison as a result of the Joint Resolution made 1 July 1848.
