  Mildred was married in the home of Richard Jones, her grandfather. Her husband, Langhorn Scruggs was listed as the Clerk of Court for PIttsylvania Co., VA in the 1860 census. In the same census, a Edward L. Jones, 19, is listed in the household of Langhorn Scruggs. Edwards occupation is shown as Deputy Clerk of Court.
