  Notes	George Wood is identified as father of Susannah Wood in marriage record. After his death, His wife Mary and sons John and Thomas were granted administration of his large estate. It appears that the administrators were less than diligent in closing the estate, so Jesse Posey and his wife Susannah filed suit in Halifax County Court for division of the estate. The court records identify the wife and children of George Posey. [3]

  Drury's middle initial is given in the bill of complaint filed in Halifix County Court during the November Term 1814 by Archer S. Wood against th administrator's of George Wood after his widow Mary died. Drury was already deceased at the time and his sons Drury B Wood and William Wood are named as parties to the suit.
