Notes - The 1838 return for the estate of Weaver Cotton shows amounts paid to Micajah Bennett as a part of his distributive share. The 1839 return shows that Micajah Bennett is a legatee by right of his wife. These records prove that Mary Cotton, wife of Micajah Bennett, is the daughter of Weaver Cotton. [1]
