  Married: In her application for widow's benefits for her husband's Rev. War service, Caty Vass stated that she married Vincent Vass on 5 Feb, 1797 and her maiden name was Chambers. In another letter in the pension file, Caty declared that she married about 1795 in Person County, North Carolina, but could not remember the exact date. A Person County marriage bond for this couple is dated 20 Jan 1798. Census: 1 male 70-80, 1 female under 5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 20-30, 1 female 50-60, 1 male slave 55-100
