On 4 April 1823, Thomas Kennon purchased 170 acres of land on Moon’s Creek adjacent Joseph Bracken from Henry Cobb for $300. Charles Mitchell and John cobb witnessed the deed. Caswell Co. Deed Book U, p. 171-72 (Kendall, p. 83). Note that Joseph Bracken married Nancy Hooper, the widow of Benjamin Hooper.
On 4 April 1834, Robert Madding purchased 48 1/2 acres of land on Stoney Fork of Moon’s Creek adjacent Thomas Kennon from Richard B. Gunn. Caswell Co. Deed Book BB, p. 366-67 (Kendall, p. 209).
