  William Kennon married Priscilla Willis, daughter of Col. Francis Willis, of Gloucester County.  He represented Charles City County in the Virginia House of Burgesses (1758-65) until he moved to North Carolina. A lawyer, he signed the “Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence.” Their children were the following.
