Mason Sanders appears in the 1800 census for Caswell Co., NC. His household includes 3 males under 10, 1 male 25 - 44, and 1 female 25 - 44. (Roll 31, P. 146). Taylor Sanders and Smith Sanders appear on the same page of the census. Also, John Dill is on the same page. A Wm Underwood appears on the next page. Leroy Sanders and Abner Underwood appear two pages later. The census data suggests that Mason was still married in 1800 to his first wife, who died sometime before 1808 when Mason married Priscilla Underwood.
Mason Sanders and Aron Sanders appear together in the 1810 census for Caswell Co., NC. (Roll 38, p. 68) Mason’s household inlcudes 5 males under 10, 2 males 10 -16, 1 male 26 - 45, 1 female under 10, and 1 female 26 - 45. A Patsy Sanders is listed on the same page. She is over 45 and is likely the widow of Smith Sanders.
