  Mason Bennett was married in Berkeley Co., VA (now WV) on 10/17/1790 to Sarah Susan Clark. There is a will for Mason that is held in the Jefferson County courthouse dated 1814. In this will, he lists seven children. They are William, Mason, John, Bunbury/Burnbury(?), Thomas, Nancy and Catherine. Thomas was disinherited. Mason Bennett appears in the 1810 census in Jefferson Co. Va (now WV). His household comprises 2 males under 10, 1 male 10-15, 2 males 16-25, and 1 male over 45, 2 females 10-15, 1 female 16-25, and 1 female 26 -44. A Mason and Bunbury Bennett appear in the 1850 census in Jefferson Co. They are tentatively identified as two of the sons of Mason Bennett, however, the connection is not proven.
