  Mary Hatcher daughter of Edward Hatcher, sson of William Hatcher who immigrated to Virginia. She was married three times: first to John Burton, Jr., second to Gilbert Elam Jr, and third to John Faile. John Fail died c 1712. On 1 April 1682, the inventory of the estate of John Burton, Jr. was presented to the Henrico Co. court by Gilbert Elam, Jr and signed by “Mary Burton, now his wife.”
