  There is a marriage record for William Wray and Polly Barnes in Rockingham Co. Alexander's middle initial is W. I need to find a document that gives Alexander's middle name to conclusively prove the link. Chesley mentions daughter Polly Wray in his will. Will book B, pg. 248.The will is dated March 9, 1840 and was probated Nov. 1840. Other named children are John, Nathaniel, Pleasant, Anne Cardwell, Patsey Gann, and Nancy Richardson. Chesley Barnes is not in the 1840 Census, butPolly Barnes is.
