Edward Whit is listed in the 1870 census for Rockingham Co., NC. His household includes Martha A. Bondsman was Daniel Shepherd. The evidence suggests that this is a different person. The bondsman on Edward Whitt’s marriage bond was Pendleton Jones. E.P Sharp witnessed the marriage bond.
