      1755 - Albemarle Co., Va. - Reuben is on in Obediah Woodson's District. This area is described as below the Buffalo River to the County line. Jacob Stanley also on this list but in Col. Randolph's district. This area is described as being below Buffalo River.
      1775- Surry Co.(now Wilkes Co.), NC - Reuben is on the 1775 tax list in Capt. Cleveland's District showing Reuben paying 2 polls, himself and likely his son.

      1786 Nov 14 - Deed, Reuben purchased land 106 1/4 acres on Hunting Creek on from James Love Jr. for 100 pounds on Hunting Creek adjacent Osborn Keeling. Witnesses were Jo.[Joseph] Winston and Wm.[William] Sharpe. Deed proved in January 1787 by William Sharp.
