1808, Dec 24. O’Neal, Mary, of Trenton, Hunterdon Co.; will of. Daughter, Mary Brown (widow of Peter Brown), a bond given by William Tindall to my late mother, Mary Chambers, for £150 and a mortgage securing same on place called the White House farm; also my silver watch, a bed and bedding, chest of drawers, ten plate stove, all household goods, except such as are hereinafter disposed of. Granddaughter, Mary Phillips (dauther of my daughter, Mary Brown), lot of land at upper end of Trenton on York road, adjoining John Chambers, Mr. Crisman, (about ¼ acre) and at her death to her son, Robert Phillips, but if he should die without issue then said land to her eldest daughter, or lacking a daughter, to her then eldest son. If both of them should die without issue, then said land to my grandson, William O’Neal (son of William O’Neal, of Washington City). Mary Phillips, also to have $80; also a bed and bedding, walnut chest. Son, William O’Neal, $30 to be paid on demand. Residue of all estate to said Mary Brown or her heirs, or then to children of William O’Neal. Executrix – daughter, Mary Brown. Witnesses – Stacy Potts, James J. Wilson, Barret D. Wall. Proved Dec. 17, 1813.
