  Martha F. Scott appears in the 1850 census in the household of her father Azariah Scott. 1850 Caswell Co. North Carolina Census, Roll M432_623, p. 185. Azariah Scott died in 1858. Caswell Co. Will Book S, p. 89. 91 (inventory and sale of estate property). A 14 year old female named M. Scott is living in 1860 in the household of Hannah Cannon, whose husband Reuben Cannon also died in 1858. 1860 Caswell Co., North Carolina Census, Roll M653_891, p. 310. Interestingly, Martha Scott married Hannah Cannon’s grandson, Reubin Dill. It is not currently known if there was a blood realtionship between Hannah Cannon and Azariah Scott. Further research is needed to determine whether the M. Scott in the household of Hannah Cannon is Martha F. Scott and what, if any, her relationship is with Hannah Cannon.
