Reuben and Micajah Bennett moved to Wilkes County, Georgia in the late 1780s settling on Kettle Creek. Wilkes County records show that Mark and Henry Snow, sons of Thomas Snow are also on Kettle Creek.

There is evidence to suggest that Micajah Bennett's wife was Mary Snow, daughter of Thomas Snow. In his will, Thomas Snow named a daughter Mary Bennett. From other records, we know that there is a relationship between the family of Peter Bennett and Thomas Snow in Bedford County, VA. Thomas Snow, Jr. married Rachel Bennett, daughter of Peter Bennett. Brothers Reuben and Micajah Bennett moved to Wilkes Co., GA in the later 1780s and settled in the area near Kettle Creek. Deed records in Wilkes Co. show that Mark and Henry Snow, sons of Thomas Snow, also purchased land near Kettle Creek. It is a logical assumption that Maray Snow married Reuben or Micajah. Records in Wilkes Co. show that Reuben's wife was named Elizabeth. Therefore, it is likely that Mary Snow married Micajah Bennett.
