    • Proof of the marriage of William Hudson to Judith Billington is found in an Essex Co. Va. deed dated 14 July 1734 by which Griffin Dobyns of Essex Co. Va. sold to Abraham Montague 120 acres of land in the lower part of Essex Co. being one half of a dividend of 240 acres divided by Augustine Smith between Daniel Dobbins (father of the said Griffin) and William Hudson, the said land coming to them by their intermarriage with Elizabeth and Judith, daughters of John Billington of this county, deceased.       THIS INDENTURE made the 14th day and Fifteenth day of July 1734 Between GRIFFIN DOBBINS of the County of Essex of one part and ABRAHAM MONTAGUE of same County Witnesseth that the sd Griffin Dobbins for sum of Thirty pounds of lawfull money of Virga. hath confirmed unto ye sd Abraham Mountague his heirs forever one hundred and twenty acres of land being in the lower part of Essex County being one half of a devedent of Two hundred and forty acres divided by AUGT. SMITH Between DANIEL DOBBINS (Father to the sd Griffin Dobbins) and WM. HUDSON the sd land came to them the sd Daniel Dobbins and William Hudson by their intermariage with ELIZABETH and JUDITH Daughters of one JOHN BILLINGTON of this County decd and bounded beginning at a stake by a marked red oak by a Valley side, thence North East to the line on that side of the plott, thence to a decayed Chesnut by the fork of a branch, thence South to the beginning stake & red oak where it first begun, is now in the peaceable possession of Abraham Mountague by Indenture of Bargain & Sale and the
      Statute for transferring uses into possession .
