  • Notes 

    • James Combs was the son of Thomas Combs and Martha Stier. He married Susan Cole and they made their home in Wentworth, Rockingham Co., NC. James T. Combs was the administrator of the estate of Frederick Stires, who died in 1885 at the age of 85. See note for Frederick Stires. They moved to High Point, NC some time between 1900 and 1910. James dies in 1910 after the census was taken. We haven't found any record of his wife Susan after 1910.
