Tilla is listed as a domestice servant for Robert Corum, and James is listed as a farm laborer. In the 1860 Census, Thomas Combs, 30, Martha Combs, 34, Elizabeth Combs, 8, James Combs, 7, and Matilda, 4, are living in the household of William J. Corum, 27. Thomas Combs died in 1863.
